Missouri Plain FolkTim Chambers573-620-5500moplainfolk@gmail.comMake-do Chinese checkerboard found in Pennsylvania. 1st quarter 20th century. 15" by 13". A 6-pointed star on an ivory background is laid out in a blue grid. Black, green, and blue are used to designate players. A true make-do, the game was made using a valuable tin litho sign advertising 'Dr Le Gear' medicines. This is a great example of creativity and another example of the art of the game.
