Doc's Crocks


Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Preserve Jar made and stamped "Lyons."

This is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, Freehand Capacity Number, and a Large Brushed Cobalt Tulip with 4 Leaves and Blossom with 3 Petals.   The decoration fills the front with coloar and is expertly executed.  Stands 11 1/4" tall

Excellent Condition.  A minor 3/8" chip under each handle.  That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Exceptionally clean glaze.
